About
Us
Our
Mission: To bring peace and healing to the mind, body and spirit
of others through caring touch and words that will engage the soul
on life's journey.
Our
belief is that touch is not just a benefit, rather it is a need
for the body, as basic and necessary as food and water, and that
touch can lead to greater happiness and healing. Also that true
healing begins on the inside of the body and mind.
We
have been in private practice for three years and have experience
as independent contractors with spa and health wellness centers
though out Oregon.
Our
offerings range in bodywork sessions of Swedish and Esalen massage,
deep tissue, therapeutic, prenatal massage and spa treatments of
Hot Stone and body wraps (body wraps available fall 2007). We also
offer energy bodywork sessions of Reiki and Polarity Therapy.
Our studio is located in historic Oregon
City at Heidi's Day Spa directly across the street from Mike's Drive-In. We are currently
expanding the location to provide more offerings in
the future such as Thai massage, Hakomi and stretching sessions as well as adding a new massage therapist.
Our location featureswarm spaces, decorated to create calmness and relaxation and shower facilities.
Please
don't hesitate to call to find out more
about our locations or offerings to improve your overall wellness.

"I
have been a client of Rick's since he opened his private practice
and have had the pleasure of being part of his evolving practice
and can vouch for his commitment to this work. As a Registered
Nurse and business owner, I understand the need for skilled
body work. I have worked with many massage therapists and
Rick is exceptional. He brings knowledge, skill and intuition
to the massage as well as a deep respect for the individual.
He truly 'meets you' where you are in your process of healing.
I highly recommend Rick's work."

"When
I first started seeing Rick, I suffered from chronic headaches.
I would get several a week, and while they weren't migraines,
it was still annoying to have them so frequently. I discussed
this with him at my first appointment, not really expecting
that massage would help. Rick told me this was something we
could work on. Within just a couple of appointments, the frequency
of the headaches began decreasing rapidly. Before I knew it,
the headaches I had come to expect, were no longer an issue.
I now realize that there is more to massage than just a relaxing
good time, and while I enjoy the relaxing benefits of massage,
I continue to see Rick as part of my overall desire for a
healthier life."

"Rick
McDaniel has been my massage therapist for over a year and
he is, without a doubt, the best
therapist that's ever treated me. I started treatment with
Rick at an extremely stressful time in my life and
my options were talk therapy or massage therapy. Normally,
I would have chosen talk therapy,
but this time I chose massage and Ifeel better than ever.
I'm on a regimen of massage every other week
and the benefits are numerous. My range of motion has improved,
my lower back pain has dimished
and most importantly, my physical and mental well-being
has increased dramatically."
